Whetstone Park wetland

Whetstone Park features a constructed wetland that slows residential stormwater on its way to Adena Brook. The horseshoe shape of the wetland gives the water additional time for the wetland plants to filter pollutants from the stormwater before it enters the brook.

Seen from above, the wetland is just above the Olentangy Trail as it passes east and west.

The Columbus chapter of Wild Ones created a prairie planting during the years 2003-2006, in an area that included a small natural wetland. This can be seen in the satellite shot above.
